Comparely / Method / v0.1 / 2026

Method

Comparely models personal income tax for 35 jurisdictions covering the digital-nomad / expat / high-income remote-worker ICP. For each country we capture the default progressive bracket schedule, ICP-relevant special regimes (Portugal IFICI, Spain Beckham, Italy impatriate, Cyprus non-dom, Malta nomad permit, Greece DN 50%, Georgia SBS, UAE 0%, etc.), employee social-security contributions, and statutory allowances. Source data is comparely-tax-data-2026 with confidence flags per country (high / medium / check-before-use).

The engine auto-picks the regime that gives the highest net income, but only after eligibility checks pass — prior non-residency, degree requirements, local employment, income thresholds. Ineligible regimes still appear in the “other regimes considered” list with the specific check that failed.

What we don't model in v1: capital gains, inheritance, property tax, VAT, corporate structures, crypto-specific rules, treaty optimization, US state tax (federal only). The output is informational and not tax advice.
